An encounter took place between police and dacoits on Quaidabad bridge on Tuesday. After an exchange of fire, 02 dacoits were arrested, one of whom was injured in the exchange of fire.
Authorities have identified the arrested individuals as Hammad, who was injured in the confrontation, and his accomplice Nasir.
Following the incident, personnel from the Shah Latif police station recovered a pistol with bullets, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle from the possession of the two individuals.
Hammad has been shifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have confirmed that a formal inquiry has been initiated to determine the full circumstances of the incident and to investigate possible links to other criminal activities.
