Islamabad, February 22, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the role of overseas Pakistanis in the socio-economic development of the country is pivotal. He appreciated the hard work and dedication of overseas Pakistanis who are playing important role to keep the country intact on the path of development and progress. He expressed these views during his meeting with delegation of Overseas Pakistanis led by Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development in Islamabad today.
While appreciating the contribution of overseas Pakistanis, he said that the incumbent Parliament is taking all measures for welfare of overseas Pakistanis. He also said that incentivizing skilled Labour force to work in other countries would not only contribute to Socio-economic development of the host countries but also for Pakistan.
He stressed the need to provide opportunities for learning skills especially in the field of modern technology so that they can find suitable jobs in foreign countries. The Speaker also said that resolving issues of overseas Pakistanis have been the priority of incumbent Parliament. He also said that remittances sent by overseas Pakistani bring economic stability to the country.
Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has appreciated the concern and support of Speakers National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf for the welfare of Overseas Pakistanis. He also briefed about important initiatives of government for facilitation of overseas Pakistanis. He also briefed the participants about initiatives of government to enhance skilled labor force. He said that incumbent government would continue to strive hard for facilitating and resolving the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis. The delegation of Overseas Pakistanis comprised of Mr. Shaoquett Moselamane, Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Ch. Rana Iftikhar, and Mr. Nadeem Ahmad.
