Fire breaks out on land of Bhiria City Grid Station, Fire brigade brings blaze under control after several hours

A major fire that broke out on Monday within the premises of the 500 KV Bhiria City Grid Station has been brought under control, averting a potential disaster and ensuring the critical power installation remained unharmed.

The fire erupted in a jungle and bushes spread over 30 acres of land owned by the power installation. The grid station management, recognizing the immediate threat posed by the escalating flames, issued an emergency alert to summon firefighting units.

Responding to the urgent call, a total of eight fire engines from across the district were dispatched to the scene. The fire crew successfully controlled the blaze after several hours of strenuous effort.

According to the grid station administration, the swift action of the fire brigade was crucial in saving the installation from the fire. Their effective and timely response ensured that the high-voltage installation remained completely safe.

Assistant Commissioner Bhiria City, Shahid Hussain Sarki, also arrived at the site to oversee the firefighting efforts and ensure the smooth conduct of the operation.
