The house and valuable belongings of laborer Manthar Ali Shar were reduced to ashes in a fire incident on Friday.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Akri Police Station in the village of Ustad Alam Shar, where a spark from the stove ignited the fire in the house.
The fire brigade was called, but due to not arriving in time, local residents managed to control the fire on their own. As a result of the fire, cash, grains, electrical appliances, furniture, trunks, bedding, clothing, and other valuable items were burned.
According to the affected person, they have suffered losses worth lakhs of rupees and are forced to live under the open sky in extreme heat. They have appealed to the government, elected representatives, and the Deputy Commissioner for immediate relief assistance.
