A sudden fire broke out on the sixth floor of the Serena Hotel in Islamabad on Friday, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
According to the Islamabad district administration, the fire originated in the hotel’s top-floor cooling system due to a short circuit in the HVAC unit.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) dispatched seven fire brigade vehicles to the scene. However, the fire was promptly tackled by the firefighting teams already present at the location, with a total of four fire engines actively participating in the extinguishing operation.
The spokesperson confirmed that the fire was swiftly brought under control, and all firefighting vehicles have since returned. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage were reported.
Teams from the Assistant Commissioner (Secretariat), Emergency and Disaster Management Authority, and the fire brigade remained on-site to ensure safety and assess the situation.
