LARKANA:Stray dogs wounded as many as 10 people, including five children and three women, in and around Larkana on Monday.

The dogs bitten six-year Asadullah son of Hamid Brohi, eight-year Qasir son of Ashique Mashori, 12-year Atta Muhammad son of Ghulam Hyder Mangrio, 13-year Aysha daughter of Muharram Shaikh, 14-year Sanaullah son of Ramzan Junejo, 22-year Saima daughter of Zamir Channa, 23-year Abdul Ghafoor son of Gul Beg Shar, 30-year Ameeran daughter of Ashique Abro, 32-year Hassan son of Ghulam Abbas, and 54-year Shahban son of Ali Sher Kalhoro.

They all were separately brought to the Dob Bite Vaccination Centre at the Chandka Medical College Hospital, where they were provided anti-rabies vaccine and other necessary treatment after which they were discharged.

The threat of dog bite is yet to be eliminated as taxpayer’s money is being wasted on ARVs because of the negligence of relevant local government departments, including town committees, municipalities and district councils across Sindh, despite strict Sindh High Court directions which are being glaringly violated in the province.
