Lahore, April 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmud-ur-Rasheed has said that colourful flowers are the beauty of the earth which depict the soft sentiments of the flower lovers. He stated this while visiting flower show organized by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore at Jillani Park. The event featured more than 100 flowering plants of local and imported species including Zenia, Patunia, Snap Dragon, Clarkia, Fareezia and Geranium. Among the species displayed by PHA Patunia looked amazing in a range of vibrant colours. The flowering plant displayed at the exhibition included both seasonal and annual species.
The Minister took a round of different stalls in the flower show with keen interests and appreciated the efforts of the organizers for successful holding of flower show for amusements of the citizens. Mian Mahmud ur Rasheed said that the PTI government is taking various effective steps to beautify the cities for bringing real change in environment. He lauded the skill and art of the organizers for arranging flowers in an attractive and beautiful manner.
He said that the organized flower shows not only provide entertainment to the citizens but also promote the trend to grow different kinds of beautiful flowers. He urged that such flower shows should be held regularly to promote by loving the nature. Flower show attracted a large number of people belonging to different walks of life.
