The local gold market saw a significant contrast on Tuesday, where gold prices fell sharply while silver prices recorded a notable increase across all scales.
The price of 24 karat gold per tola decreased by a substantial Rs 1,500, with the new price settling at Rs 530,562.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold closed at Rs 454,871 after a decrease of Rs 1,286. The price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also decreased by Rs 1,179, reaching Rs 416,980.
This bearish trend in the local market was in line with the international market, where the price of gold decreased by $15 to $5,082.
In contrast to the gold market, the value of silver increased during the day. The price of 24 karat silver per tola increased by Rs 212, reaching Rs 11,640.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver also saw a positive increase of Rs 182, reaching Rs 9,979. The international market also showed a bullish trend for silver, where its value traded at $111.65 with an increase of $2.12.
