Fog Reigns in Punjab, Motorways Closed at Several Points, Travelers Face Difficulties

Due to the intense fog engulfing Punjab, one person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a fatal road accident in Bahawalnagar, after which authorities closed major motorways, causing severe difficulties for travelers.

This tragic incident occurred due to a horrific collision between two motorcycles, attributed to dangerously low visibility.

The persistent intensity of the fog forced the closure of several key travel routes. The Motorway M2 was closed from Lahore to Hiran Minar, while the M3 was closed from Faizpur to Jaranwala.

Further restrictions were imposed on the M4, which was closed for heavy vehicles from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem. Authorities also prohibited all types of entry on the M11 Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.

A spokesperson for the motorway has appealed to the public to avoid all non-essential travel until conditions improve.
