QUETTA:At least four people were killed in a road accident in the Balochistan provincial capital on Tuesday.
The tragedy took place on Kuchlak Bypass in Quetta. Rescuers and lawmen rushed to the spot. Bodies were taken to a hospital. Sources said lawmen started digging into the matter.
Fatal road accidents are common in Pakistan, where traffic rules are rarely followed and roads in many rural areas are in poor condition. Earlier in the ongoing month, 22 people died when a passenger van fell into a deep ravine in Balochistan on Quetta-Zhob highway.
A woman among three people died in a road accident on National Highway yesterday. In July, a jam-packed bus carrying mostly labourers traveling home for a holiday rammed into a container truck claiming five lives.
