Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) today arrested 2 suspects from Korangi area of Karachi, including the ringleader of “Cheetah Gang” involved in over 100 robberies and street crimes, among them the alleged ringleader of the notorious “Cheetah Gang”. The gang leader had allegedly disguised himself as a security official during his criminal activities.
Muhammad Hussain, son of Muhammad Ayub, who is the gang’s ringleader, and Abdul Waheed son of Paya Khan were taken into custody after intelligence-based operations.
From their possession, authorities recovered a motorcycle without proper documents, three mobile phones, a fake government institution card, a private security company belt, and an unknown amount of cash.
The arrested individuals are involved in numerous cases of robbery and various street crimes in Korangi and its adjoining areas.
It was revealed that suspect Muhammad Hussain regularly disguised himself as a security official, apparently to avoid arrest and identification.
His accomplice, Abdul Waheed, is accused of being involved in the sale of stolen and snatched property.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being involved in over 100 incidents of robbery, motorcycle theft, and mobile phone snatching in Korangi and neighboring districts.
Against the arrested duo, numerous First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered in various police stations across the city.
Currently, to trace and arrest other involved accomplices, raids are being conducted.
The arrested individuals and all recovered evidence have been handed over to the local police to initiate further legal proceedings.
