A high-profile international delegation comprising 21 political spokespersons from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and other regions visited the historic Lihuangpi Road Historical and Cultural Block in Wuhan today.
The delegation was led by Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce and senior PML-N spokesperson. The tour centered on the Lihuangpi Road Historical and Cultural Block, a 604-meter thoroughfare celebrated for its unique fusion of European and Chinese architectural designs. Originally established in 1900, the street was later incorporated into the former Russian Concession in Hankou.
Participants examined several key landmarks, including the Bagong House, a red-brick mansion from 1910 constructed by Russian tea merchants that features distinct Baroque elements. The group also received detailed briefings at the memorial hall for the August 7th Meeting, where the CPC convened a critical conference in 1927 amid intense political repression, an event that significantly influenced the course of the Chinese revolution.
This visit is a component of an ongoing multi-city initiative organized by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). The program is designed to combine top-level political engagement with immersive cultural and historical education, showcasing China’s preservation of architecturally and politically important sites.
