Global Mushaira in Karachi to be held on March 28 at Expo Center

Renowned poets from the UK, USA, and Canada will join their Pakistani counterparts in a major international mushaira on March 28, an event supported by the city’s administration to enhance Karachi’s cultural standing globally.

During a meeting held today, Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi assured the organizers of the administration’s full support for the upcoming mushaira, promising all possible cooperation for its success.

The Commissioner stressed that the Sindh government is strongly encouraging literary and artistic activities, which he believes present a positive image of Karachi both nationally and internationally. He urged the continuation of the tradition of organizing such cultural events.

Chief Organizer Mahmood Khan, who met the commissioner along with fellow organizer Nadeem Zafar, confirmed that the event will take place at the Expo Center. He elaborated that in addition to international guests, prominent poets from various cities including Lahore, Islamabad, and across Balochistan will also participate.

Mr. Naqvi described the annual event, organized by Sakinan-e-Shehr-e-Quaid, as a commendable effort to promote Urdu literature. He said that this international mushaira is renowned worldwide and has become a focal point for enthusiasts of Urdu poetry.
