The local bullion market witnessed a significant jolt in prices on Monday, as the per tola price of 24-karat gold saw a dramatic increase of Rs 10,900, closing at a new record high of Rs 532,062.
This significant price increase was also reflected in other gold measures. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 9,345 to Rs 456,157, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold reached Rs 418,159 with an increase of Rs 8,567.
The rise in local prices is consistent with the bullish trend in the global market, where the international price of gold increased by $109 to $5,097.
The price of silver also saw a significant increase, with the per tola price of 24-karat silver rising by Rs 627 to Rs 11,428.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver increased by Rs 537, closing the day at Rs 9,797. The international price of silver also traded at $109.53, with an increase of $6.27.
