Govt committed to promoting sports: Jamali

QUETTA: Muhammad Ishaque Jamali, Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, has said that soon after assuming the charge, he started taking steps to provide sporting opportunities and other required facilities to the players of the province in accordance with vision of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Abdul Khaliq Hazara.

These views were expressed by him while talking to players and spectators after inaugurating football tournament under “Pakistan Diamond Jubilee Chief Minister Sports Festival” here on Sunday. Jamali said that the incumbent provincial government was committed to promoting sports in the province, adding that it was our responsibility to divert the attention of youngsters towards sports and other recreational activities in order to keep the young generation of Quetta aloof from negative activities. He added preparations for arranging mega events of different discipline of sports, to be held after “Pakistan Diamond Jubilee Chief Minister Sports Festival”, were in progress.
