Govt is committed to help and support people with disability: Brigadier(retd)Haris Nawaz

Karachi, July 14, 2018 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Advisor to C.M.Sindh for Special Education, Social Welfare, Works and Services and Prisons Brigadier(retd)Haris Nawaz has said that Govt is committed to help and support people with disability so that they could spend their lives as a useful and dignified citizen of the society. This he stated while addressing to a seminar “The process of Change” on commemorating world disability day being organized by ‘Dar ul Sukun’ a centre providing education, training and support to persons with disability in its office at Kashmir road Karachi.

Brigadier Haris said that Govt through their policies striving to secure the rights of people with disability and in this connection quota of jobs for persons with disability has also been increased from two percent to five percent and the directives for implementation quota are being issued to all public and private sector organizations.

The seminar was addressed by Incharge Dar-ul- Sukun Sr.Ruth Lewis,Senator Anwar Laldin, famous artist Mr,Talat Hussain, eye and medical specialist Dr.Qazi Muhammad Wasiq, Pathologist Dr Siraj ud doula, Director General Katchi Aabadi Dr.Saed Iqbal,Ms.Naz Baluch and others. On this occasion guests from different walks of life were also attended the seminar.
