LAHORE:Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Saturday sought a deadline from the Commissioners to ensure permanent cleanliness of the cities, towns and the rural areas.

CM while addressing the meeting said that the previous government left our Punjab province after playing havoc adding that big, small cities and towns including rural areas should look neat and clean. He vowed that PML(N) government will make the province neat and clean once again. He said that he cannot tolerate that his brothers and sisters live in an unhygienic conditions.

He stressed that it is our responsibility to provide them a neat and clean environment and that is their fundamental right. He directed the officers to visit the fields themselves and take stock of cleanliness conditions and masses problems.

CM directed waste management companies to deliver and he will not make any compromise on cleanliness. CM directed to chalk out a foolproof mechanism for making permanent cleanliness in the province adding that cleanliness be continued on permanent basis.

He urged to make effective use of available resources in order to ensure permanent cleanliness. Hamza Shahbaz said that the cleanliness of streets, markets and towns is possible only through good governance and vows to himself review the steps being taken regarding price control and cleanliness by visiting the districts.

Sardar Awais Leghari, Mansha Ullah Butt, Zeeshan Rafique, Samiullah Chaudhry, Rana Sikandar, Colonel(Retd) Mubashir Javed submitted proposals and recommendations. The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary to CM, Secretary Local Government, Commissioner Lahore division and concerned officials while Commissioners of other divisions attended the meeting via video link.

CM ORDERS TO IMPROVE TRAFFIC PROBLEMS IN SIALKOT

Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz has ordered to immediately improve traffic problems and cleanliness arrangements in Sialkot. CM directed the concerned officials to ensure early completion of the Shahabpura overhead bridge project. He denounced that this public utility project was kept pending without any reason adding that with the completion of Shahabpura overhead bridge will help in resolving traffic problems.

CM vowed to improve traffic system in Sialkot adding that the cleanliness system will be improved in every city and town including Sialkot.CM further directed to ensure early completion of the project by working day and night.CM met with Member Provincial Assembly Mansha Ullah Butt in which matters pertaining to early completing the public welfare projects came under discussion.
