The protest camp organized by Shehri Ittehad Nasirabad continued for the fifth consecutive day, demanding the activation of the taluka-level hospital that was constructed and inaugurated over a decade ago.

The token hunger strike, held on Monday in front of the Rural Health Center, is being led by Shehri Ittehad Nasirabad. The organizers include President Sengar Noonari, Zahid Hussain Tunio, Aijaz Shaikh, and Zamir Mughal.

Speaking to the media, representatives of the protesters highlighted the dual nature of their grievances. They are demanding the immediate revival of the taluka hospital and are also protesting against severe deficiencies at the existing Rural Health Center.

The leaders emphasized that although the taluka hospital was formally inaugurated 12 years ago, it has never been made functional for public use, and its remaining construction work has not been completed.

They added that the area’s primary medical facility, the Rural Health Center, is facing an acute shortage of medical staff, medicines, and other essential facilities.

The protesters’ primary demands include the immediate completion of the taluka hospital and a resolution to the persistent shortage of doctors and medicines at the Rural Health Center.
