Iftar party by HYC to help promote interfaith harmony: Advani

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Minority Wing central leader Dr Sham Sunder K Advani has said that the Iftar party hosted by the Hindu Youth Council is a welcome step and it would help in further promoting interfaith harmony.

Addressing the Iftar party hosted by Pakistan Naujawan Hindu Council chairman Wishal Aanad at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants Association (ICMA), he said such gatherings are necessary for promoting tolerance and pluralism. He said minorities in Pakistan had been playing a due role in development of the country since the creation of Pakistan. He hoped that such gatherings would also be held in future. Dr Advani said that the Hindu youth of Karachi were playing a leading role in promoting religious harmony in Pakistan.

On the occasion, MPA Dr Lal Chand Ukrani, MPA Dr Naved Anjum, ex-MPA Bhawan Das, ex-MPA Munawar Lal, Salar Wasan Advocate, President Youth Wing Pirya Devi, secretary tourism Adil Dayo, Arshid Ali Abbasi, Ramesh Kumar, Besham Kumar, Gulab Rai, Mehak Raj and others were also present.
