Islamabad, August 14, 2019 (PPI-OT): President, Dr Arif Alvi, and Prime Minister, Imran Khan, have said that the Indian government’s unilateral move to end special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a despicable conspiracy and blatant violation of the United Nations resolutions and the Simla Agreement.
In their messages on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day, tday, Dr Arif Alvi and Imran Khan, said that the Indian government should realize that with use of such sate aggression and absurd measures, the movement for freedom in occupied Kashmir could not be suppressed.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan in a tweet said that if Modi regime did not abandon the policy of subjugation, it would leave peace of the region in severe dangers. She said India should review its extremist attitude. She said Kashmir is a dispute which can only be resolved through the UN resolutions. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Pakistan government stands with Kashmiris in their right to self-determination. She said India cannot suppress Kashmiris passion for freedom.
