Iran closes parts of border with Pakistan

TAFTAN:Iranian border force has closed Pak-Iran Zero Point, Friendship Gate and Transit Gate along Pak-Iran border at Mirjawa and Taftan for 14 days in connection with holidays of Eid-e-Nuroz.

Tehsildar Taftan, Zahoor Baloch said that in order to avail leave of Eid-e-Nuroz, Iranian authorities have closed Zero Point, Friendship Gate and Transit Gate along Pak-Iran border for 14 days. Due to closure of border, business activities in Mirjawa and Taftan of District Chagai of Balochistan, bordering areas with Iran, came to a standstill.

Meanwhile, five persons sustained injuries in a brawl occurred between two groups of Lundkani tribe in Sakh-3 Kachhi canal area of Sir Tehsil Sui of District Dera Bughti of Balochistan on Sunday, according to levies force. Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Dera Bughti, levies force arrested four persons while search operation for apprehending other alleged accused was under way. The injured were taken to PPL Welfare Hospital, Sui where after providing initial treatment, they were referred to Rahim Yar Khan City of Punjab province for further treatment.
