As part of a strategy, efforts are being made to establish joint ventures with international shipyards to promote cooperation and the exchange of expertise. The plan to award domestic shipbuilding contracts to the national shipyard aims to reduce the country’s reliance on foreign facilities, thereby saving valuable foreign reserves.
The revival of Karachi Shipyard will create numerous employment opportunities for engineers and skilled workers, which is an encouraging development for the workforce. Additionally, directives have been issued to ensure uniform standards for port vessels across the country.
