Kashmiris feel threatened by India’s colonial policies in IIOJK

Srinagar, August 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a meeting of the socio-political activists was held at Thanamandi, Rajouri, to discuss the latest socio-political scenario in the occupied territory. While discussing the situation, the participants said that in the face of the colonial policies of India, the people of Jammu and Kashmir were fearful about their future. They said Kashmiris’ resources and identity were being forcibly snatched from them.

The participants emphasised the need of building a strong and vibrant civil society to create awareness among masses to resist anti-people policies of the Indian state with all peaceful means. The meeting was chaired by APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM), Mir Shahid Saleem and was attended by several social workers and political activists.

Prominent among those who attended the event include Shabir Ahmed Rather, Chairman Iqra Foundation, Aqib Wani, Chairman of JK People’s Association, Abdul Rauf, Convenor JK Youth Society, Rizwan Khan, Buraq MD Right Now Times, Amir Khan, Convenor Ittihaad-e-Millat, Aqib Malik, MD Himalyan Stories, Ch Abdul Rehmen, writer, Sheikh Owais, Akleem Mir, Sajjad Malik Basharat Chwdhary, Rashid Chowdhary, Servar Mirza and Waseem Rather.
