KHAIRPUR: A Khairpur police cop was reported kidnapped in katcha area of Indus river near Pano Aqil, police said Sunday.
According to a report, Irshad Bahleem, a constable of Mehmood Channa police station in district Khairpur went to attend a program of his friends in Pano Aqil after receiving salary three days ago. After few hours later, his cell phone turned powered off.
His relatives searched for him at several areas but could not find him. Today, criminals phoned them and demanded Rs10 million ransom for his release. The heirs have appealed to IG Police Sindh and other authorities to help recover their kidnapped cop as soon as possible.
