ISLAMABAD:Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed the concerned authorities to devise a mechanism for transparent distribution of zakat among deserving people.
Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he asked the concerned authorities to transfer the medical treatment of deserving people from zakat to health sector. The meeting was informed that Zakat Management Information System has been introduced to ensure service delivery.
Similarly, a data of about thirty-five thousand orphans has been collected which will soon be presented for approval from zakat and usher council. The Chief Minister directed for close coordination with relevant welfare organizations to collect complete data of orphans across the province.
