KPC Leadership Seeks Sindh Governor’s Help to Resolve Critical Lease Problem

The newly elected leadership of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) has sought urgent assistance from Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori to resolve a critical issue concerning the club’s property lease.

The matter was raised by KPC President Fazil Jameeli during a luncheon hosted by the governor at the Governor House in honour of the new office-bearers, according to information by the Governor House today.

In response to the appeal, Governor Tessori assured the delegation of his full cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by the press club”s members.

The KPC representatives also proposed that a special quota be allocated for journalists and their children in the information technology courses offered under the Governor’s initiatives. This suggestion was welcomed positively by the Governor, who affirmed that equipping the media community with modern IT education is a significant contemporary need.

During the event, the governor congratulated the successful panel on their election, which he noted followed the timely completion of the electoral process. He described the Karachi Press Club as a pro-democracy institution that has consistently promoted freedom of expression.

Mr Tessori expressed his gratitude to the journalist community for the support extended to his welfare and educational programmes.

Karachi Press Club Secretary Aslam Khan reciprocated the sentiment, thanking the governor for the invitation and commending his administration’s welfare and educational initiatives.
