LAHORE: The administration in Lahore again imposed the closure of by 9 pm from the second day of the Eid ul Azha, according to a report on Monday.

According to the administration, wholesale market, retail stores, bakeries, general stores, shopping malls, private offices, warehouses will be closed at 9 pm. Hotels, tandoors, clubs, theatres, cinemas, cafes, and circuses have been ordered to close till 11:30 pm. Medical stores, hospitals, laboratories, dairy shops, petrol pumps, Motorway Service Area, tire repair shops, and takeaways will remain open.

The business community has shown serious reservations over the abrupt step taken by the Punjab government and showed their resentment over the decision. According to Senior Vice President of Super Grocery Stores Association in Lahore Mardan Ali Zaidi, 95percent shops have been already closed due to the Eid holidays. He said only five percent shops were open and the government should not impose restrictions on the businesses on the eve of Eid.
