KHAIRPUR:,,, The Model Court Khairpur on Thursday sentenced a man to nine years imprisonment and fined him in a drug possession case.
The Court of Special Judge Muhammad Islamul Haque Arain of the Criminal Model Trial Court established in Khairpur heard the drug case registered against accused Rashid Ali Shaikh, son of Rustam Ali Shaikh, whichwas registered by Paryaloi Police Station.In case of non-payment of the fine money, the convict will have to undergo six more months of imprisonment.
The court found the accused guilty of the drug possession and awarded him a nine-year jail term with a fine of Rs80,000. It shifted him to the Central Jail Khairpur under the strict security by the police.
