An explosion near Dasht Road in Mastung resulted in the deaths of three Balochistan Constabulary personnel and injuries to 20 others on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when an explosive device, hidden in a motorcycle, detonated near a police truck. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Younas Magsi, informed the media that the officers were en route to a security detail for the Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s protest sit-in at Lakpass. The explosion abruptly halted their mission, causing significant casualties among the personnel onboard.
Dr Aamir Iqbal Raisani, Chief Executive Officer of Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital, declared an emergency at the facility. The hospital received three deceased and 21 injured individuals. Dr Raisani noted that three of the injured were transferred to Quetta for advanced medical care following initial treatment in Mastung.
The deceased were identified as Among the dead included Muhammad Amin, resident of Sibi, Muhammad Waseem, resident of Panjgur and Abdul Hameed Bugti, resident of Dera Bugti while among the injured included Mumtaz Ahmed, resident of Kharan, Zahoor Ahmed, resident of Awaran, Nisar Ahmed, resident of Kharan, Abdul Gayas, resident of Kharan, Sanaullah, Resident of Lasbella, Sudair Ahmed, Resident of Panjgur, Abdul Samad, resident of Turbat, Mumtaz Aslam, resident of Turbat, Dilwas, resident of Turbat, Muhammad Hayat, resident of Kohlu, Adnan Muhammad, resident of Gwadar, Qadeer Ahmed, resident of Awaran, Allah Dad, resident of Awaran, Ali Muhammad, resident of Washuk, Adil Ali, resident of Turbat, Muhammad Saleem, resident of Sibi, Qurban, resident of Gwadar, Abdul Malik, resident of Lasbela, Riaz Ahmed, resident of Washuk and Muhammad Anwar, resident of Mastung.
