Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), discussed a new ‘digital wallet’ initiative today aimed at making the payment process for female beneficiaries more efficient and secure.
During a series of meetings held at BISP Headquarters, representatives from Easypaisa, JazzCash, and HBL Microfinance Bank deliberated on the implementation of this innovative system. The primary objective of these discussions was to ensure that payments are not only secure but also transparent and convenient for the recipients.
Additionally, discussions touched upon other critical aspects of fortifying the digital payment infrastructure. Each financial entity expressed their commitment and assured full cooperation to ensure the successful rollout of the Digital Wallet system.
Muhammad Idrees Mian, the Director General of Cash Transfers at BISP, was also present at the meetings, reinforcing the agency”s dedication to improving the digital payment landscape for its beneficiaries.
