Meeting of Sindh Governor and Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia

Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi and Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia Ibrahim Khalid Tawab met today at the Governor House to discuss strategies to enhance economic cooperation and investment between Pakistan and Ethiopia.

During their meeting, both officials emphasized the importance of enhancing business-to-business relations and promoting industrial cooperation. They agreed that the exchange of trade delegations could prove very beneficial for both countries.

Governor Hashmi expressed his commitment to deepening economic, trade, and investment relations and expressed confidence that mutual cooperation would lead to shared prosperity and development for the citizens of both countries.

Honorary Consul General Tawab highlighted Ethiopia’s reputation as a model of rapid economic growth and cultural and religious harmony. He identified several opportunities for Pakistani investors in sectors such as medical products, pharmaceuticals, textiles, plastics, and chemicals.

Additionally, Tawab mentioned the potential to increase Pakistan’s imports from Ethiopia, particularly in coffee, oil seeds, and other agricultural products. This bilateral trade expansion could prove beneficial for both economies.
