Meeting of Uzbekistan’s Ambassador with Federal Minister of Railways, Discussion on Bilateral Cooperation

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Sher Taktayev, and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, held a meeting today to discuss strengthening regional connectivity through the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway corridor, which is a key project to link Central Asia to Pakistan’s ports.

The focus of the discussion was on deepening cooperation in the railway sector, with an emphasis on infrastructure development, freight operations, logistics, and sharing of technical expertise. Both representatives highlighted the strategic importance of this corridor, which will help promote trade and economic integration in the region.

Ambassador Taktayev reiterated Uzbekistan’s desire to strengthen relations with Pakistan, which extends beyond railways to encompass various sectors, indicating a strong commitment to bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
