Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik commended the efforts of all stakeholders, including the Gilgit Baltistan government and local administration, for their persistent work in building resilience against the recurring incidents of glacial lake outburst floods.

This he said while conducting a comprehensive review of the Glacial Lake Outburst Flood-11 Project in the Shigar Valley. The minister was accompanied by a high-level delegation from the United Nations Development Programme,

The project includes the installation of early warning systems and protective embankments, among other initiatives.
