The government has successfully stabilised the nation’s economy over the past two years, countering the effects of what were termed the “flawed policies” of the previous PTI administration, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani stated in the Senate on Friday.
Responding to a calling attention notice, Mr Kayani reaffirmed the administration”s commitment to steering the country towards sustainable economic progress.
He outlined future plans to bolster exports and generate additional employment opportunities for the populace.
The minister also called upon the opposition to adopt a positive and constructive role within the parliamentary proceedings.
Following the minister”s remarks, the session of the upper house was formally prorogued.
