KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Gyan Chand Essrani in his message on the occasion of Minority Day said on Wednesday that the minority community in Pakistan, especially in Sindh, has equal rights and according to the manifesto of Pakistan Peoples Party, the rights of the minority community are respected.

He said in a statement that Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were paying special attention to the welfare of the minority community which was a reflection of the significant contribution to the minority community in the development and prosperity of Pakistan.

He further said that the minority community had full confidence in the vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the context of which work for the welfare of minorities was underway under the guidance of Chief Minister Sindh.

He added that the quota of minority community in government jobs in Sindh was being implemented in a transparent manner and special funds had also been allocated for the construction and renovation of places of worship of the minority community. “The Department of Minority Affairs’ development schemes are an expression of love for the minority community,” he concluded.
