Muzaffarabad, April 25, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Hurriyat leaders have said that anti-Muslim policies of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi are a challenge for world conscious and a threat to global peace.
Hurriyat leaders addressing a function held in connection with the 30th Foundation Day of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) at a local hotel stressed the need to raise voice against Indian state terrorism in Kashmir. They said Pakistan is not only the pleader of Kashmir dispute but also a party to it.
The Hurriyat leaders said the illegal and unjustified arrest of Hurriyat leaders including Masarrat Aalam Butt is nothing but frustration of the authorities. They said Masarat Alam Butt has been slapped with draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) for 37 times which is a blot on the face of so-called biggest democracy.
They paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs and reiterated their pledge to continue liberation movement till taking it to its logical conclusion. They said the day is not away when the people of Kashmir will get rid of Indian bondages.
Earlier, a declaration was presented in the Kashmir conference, strongly condemning the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir. It said that it was the responsibility of the civilized world to stop Indian terrorism in Kashmir and put pressure on India to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
The declaration said the conference expects from the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir that it will play the role of a base camp for Kashmir liberation movement and will adopt the policy of Quaid-e-Azam instead of adopting the policy of a party on Kashmir.
The speakers included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Ishtiaq Hameed, Syed Naseem Yusuf, Sheikh Aqeel-ur-Rehman, Altaf Husain Wani Abdul Hameed Lone, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Aziz Ahmad Ghazali, Gohar Kashmiri, Basharat Noori, Manzoor Ahmad, Khawaja, Manzoor Qadir Advocate, Daniyal Shahab Madni and Qazi Mehmudl Hassan.
