A woman riding a motorcycle was killed and her husband was seriously injured in a collision with a speeding Mazda truck on Thursday within the limits of Mehran police station.

The deceased woman has been identified as Hamida, a resident of Shadman Town. Her husband, Faryad Hussain, is receiving immediate medical attention for serious injuries.

After the accident, UC Vice Chairman Aftab and others took the injured couple to the Civil Hospital, where Hamida succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

According to official sources, the couple was going to the market to buy goods when this unfortunate incident occurred.

Authorities have arrested the Mazda truck driver, Azhar Hussain.
