MQM Delegation Meets Hanif Tayyab for Peace During Muharram

A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) met with Chairman of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party and former Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Haji Mohammad Hanif Tayyab at his residence. The meeting emphasized the importance of interfaith cooperation during Muharram. Led by former provincial Minister for Religious Affairs, Abdul Haseeb, the MQM-P delegation discussed ensuring religious harmony and peace during the upcoming holy month. The MQM-P delegation included central leader Ashraf Ali and Head of the Religious Affairs Committee, Haji Nasir Yameen, among others. The delegation also prayed for Dr. Tayyab’s full recovery.

The leaders deliberated on measures to maintain religious harmony and peace during Muharram. Dr. Tayyab stressed the need for mutual respect and unity to promote peace, security, and national development and prosperity during the religious festival.

Dr. Tayyab further stated that the government’s top priority should be to ensure strict security measures and the provision of essential services like water, electricity, and gas for the peaceful conduct of processions and gatherings commemorating Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
