Punjab Law Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharatha reviewed security arrangements and flood prevention measures in Attock district in connection with Muharram ul Haram. Bharatha visited the expected flood-affected area near the Indus River and directed the concerned departments to remain alert and active. He also chaired a high-level meeting to review the security and administrative plan for Muharram ul Haram.
The meeting was attended by the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Deputy Commissioner Attock, District Police Officer Attock, heads of relevant departments, and Pakistan Muslim League (N) representatives.
The Law Minister emphasized maintaining an atmosphere of peace and respect during Muharram ul Haram and ensuring the provision of necessary facilities like mobile water stalls and temporary sanitation arrangements as per the Chief Minister’s instructions. He announced that no leniency would be shown on any security or administrative lapses.
After the meeting, Bharatha met with members of the District Peace Committee and Shia religious leaders to promote interfaith harmony and cooperation.
He then inspected the Punjab Safe City control room at the DPO office and reviewed the surveillance system. Bharatha also reviewed the ongoing construction work at the inter-provincial joint check post in Attock Khurd. During his visit to the expected flood-affected area near the Indus River, he stressed the importance of preparedness and precautionary measures by the relevant departments.
