(NATIONAL /CITY) Senate chairman visits Jacobabad rain relief camp

JACOBABAD: Chairman, Senate of Pakistan, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani along with Senators Mashahid Hussain Syed, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Prince Umar and Sana Jamali visited the rain relief camp established here at the old wagon stand on Wednesday and got information about the rain affected people, ration, medicines and other facilities.

He also visited the medical camp established by PPHI and directed the camp management to provide all the necessary medical facilities to the rain victims. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Sanjrani said that due to the rains in Sindh and Balochistan, a flood scene is being seen, in which a lot of people have been affected. He said that 1500 people have died and the entire nation is with them in this difficult time. He said the army is working hard for the evacuation and rehabilitation of flood victims.

He said that the United States has given 30 million dollars for the flood victims, besides, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE and other countries are providing full support and we are grateful to them. Answering the question of the media, he said that the Deputy Commissioner of Jafarabad district cannot intentionally cut the waterlogging drain. He requested the people of every school of thought to cooperate with the administration and institutions in this difficult time.
