NAUNDERO: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior established a free medical camp under his supervision to provide free medical treatment and health facilities to the flood victims in the village of Izzat Ji Wandh near here on Wednesday where, together with the team of expert doctors from Karachi and Larkana, the rain and flood victims were provided treatment to avoid various diseases including gastro, malaria, skin and the fever.

At the camp, free medicines were also supplied to more than 700 patients who were staying at tents at Izzat Ji Wandh, Bhambo Sheikh, Shikari Sheikh, Khakhrani village, Nusrat village and other villages as well as victims staying at the protective dykes. During his stay at the camp, Junior Zulfikar Ali Bhutto himself took prescriptions of medicines from the incoming poor patients and provided them with medicines and explained the details of how to take the medicines.

A large number of women and children were among the patients who came for treatment at the camp. Junior Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto met the people coming to the camp and gave them a sense of belonging. Seeing the public service of Junior Zulfikar, many people are becoming his fans. Later, Junior Zulfiqar Bhutto arrived at his family rice mill in Naundero where he met the rice mill contractor businessmen Amit Kumar and others who gave him a cheque of Rs one lac in relief fund.

Meanwhile, a commitment made by the provincial minister for Local Bodies and Public Health Engineering Departments Nasir Hussain Shah, to drain out stagnant rainwater from Larkana within two days has expired but the standing rainwater is still there in the city and adjoining areas causing tremendous hardships to the residents which has annoyed the residents and PPP very influential MPA Faryal Talpur.

She has reportedly changed the focal person for relief for Larkana for the fifth time and has also expressed her dis-satisfaction over the work of deputy commissioner and Superintending Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department but both are still working on their posts despite repeated complaints against them.
