Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in his message today on the occasion of World Scout Day, has stressed the urgent need to align scouting institutions with modern requirements, and has pledged the full and continuous support of the lower house of Parliament for the promotion of this movement and the welfare of the youth.
In his commemorative message, the Speaker called the Scout movement an effective tool for character building, saying that it instills a spirit of discipline, honesty, and service to humanity in the nation’s youth.
Mr. Sadiq paid tribute to the youth across the country and praised the Pakistani scouts for playing an exemplary role in serving the nation in every difficult time.
He observed that during natural disasters and other emergencies, scouts are always seen at the forefront of relief operations.
The Speaker stressed that keeping the youth engaged in constructive activities is a guarantee of national development, and added that their active participation is indispensable for the construction and development of the country.
He termed scouting an important platform for promoting positive activities, and highlighted its role in awakening leadership skills and a sense of collective responsibility in the youth.
Calling the youth the “bright future” of the nation, Speaker Sadiq reiterated that their positive training and guidance is a national responsibility.
