A suspected robber was shot and killed on Wednesday during an armed encounter with law enforcement officers near the Karachi Polytechnic Institute, while his accomplices managed to escape.
The intense exchange of fire began near the Polytechnic Institute when a police unit intercepted the alleged suspects.
During the shootout, one individual sustained fatal injuries, resulting in his death. The remaining suspects successfully evaded capture and are currently at large.
Authorities secured the scene following the incident, recovering a pistol and ammunition from the suspect’s possession.
The body of the deceased has been moved to a hospital for post-mortem and identification. The Korangi Police Station has confirmed that a formal investigation into the matter has been launched.
