Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia”s Chief of General Staff, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, met in the capital today, reaffirming a mutual resolve to significantly enhance cooperation in defence, security, and economic domains.
During the high-level meeting, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan”s firm commitment to fortifying its fraternal relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister conveyed Pakistan”s profound appreciation for the unwavering support and solidarity consistently provided by Riyadh. He underlined that the bond between the two nations is deeply rooted in shared faith, common values, and mutual trust.
Recalling his recent highly successful visits to the Kingdom, Sharif emphasized Pakistan”s dedication to deepening bilateral defence collaboration, including joint training missions, combined military exercises, and the exchange of expertise.
The discussion also highlighted a shared determination between the two countries to combat extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, with a mutual objective of promoting regional peace and stability.
General Al-Ruwaili conveyed warm greetings from the Saudi leadership to the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan. He reiterated the Kingdom”s strong aspiration to elevate the existing excellent strategic and defence partnership with Pakistan to new heights.
