Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have committed to translating their longstanding fraternal relationship into concrete economic outcomes, with a focus on securing investments, facilitating technology transfers, and initiating joint projects in the energy and minerals sectors.
According to a statement on Friday, the understanding was reached during a meeting between the Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, and the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy, who called on the minister in the capital.
Mr Malik highlighted that the recent Future Minerals Forum, conducted in Riyadh, served as a significant platform for advancing energy cooperation between the two nations.
Echoing the sentiment, Ambassador Al-Malkiy emphasised that sustained dialogue between the two countries is vital for improving collaboration within the mining industry.
Both dignitaries concluded the discussion by agreeing to bolster their partnership, specifically targeting the strategic areas of energy and minerals.
