Karachi, General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, visited the Line of Control in the Haji Pir sector today to celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Azha with the troops stationed there. During his visit, COAS joined the officers and soldiers in Eid prayers, focusing on prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, in his address to the troops, General Munir praised their dedication and morale, highlighting the significance of celebrating such festivals while away from family to ensure the country’s security. He also spoke on the ongoing situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), condemning India’s actions and reaffirming Pakistan’s stance in line with UN resolutions. The COAS condemned the oppressive measures and propaganda by India against the Kashmiris, emphasizing that any provocations against Pakistan’s sovereignty would meet with a strong response. His visit began with a reception by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps.
