Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Managing Director, Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt briefed the Federal Minister on the ongoing welfare programs of PBM, noting the organization’s struggle due to the absence of a permanent Managing Director for over a year. He highlighted the strategic measures being implemented to enhance efficiency, including downsizing administrative expenses to 15-20% of the total budget.

This he said here today while meeting with Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah. The dialogue between the two centered on the organization’s efforts to improve service delivery and reduce administrative costs, aiming to channel more funds directly to the underprivileged.

The cochlear implant program, which has successfully supported over 1,800 individuals with hearing impairments, was presented as a key achievement. The Managing Director extended an invitation to the Federal Minister for an official visit to PBM headquarters for further discussions on financial transparency and upcoming welfare projects.

Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmed Shah acknowledged the progress and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to effective resource utilization and direct assistance to those in need.
