Pakistan and China today initiated a strategic partnership to enhance livestock trade and strengthen the industry following a high-level meeting. This meeting took place between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and the Chinese delegation.
During the meeting, both parties expressed growing interest in cooperation in the livestock and meat export sectors. Minister Hussain highlighted Pakistan’s abundant livestock resources and the potential for high-quality halal meat production, which holds substantial export opportunities.
Several joint initiatives were discussed during the talks to promote Pakistan’s livestock sector. These include the establishment of modern slaughterhouses, enhancing meat production capabilities, and developing a robust export infrastructure.
Both countries are prepared to work together on these initiatives, reflecting a shared commitment not only to promote trade but also to strengthen the overall livestock industry in Pakistan.
