Pakistan, China Review CPEC Progress in High-Level Beijing Talks

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with a high-ranking Chinese official in Beijing on Sunday, reaffirming the robust and forward-looking nature of the relationship between the two nations amid a review of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

During the meeting with Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, the two dignitaries deliberated on a range of subjects including party-to-party exchanges and significant regional developments.

Both sides expressed contentment with the current trajectory of their bilateral relations and assessed the advancement of various initiatives under the CPEC framework.

Looking ahead, the officials mutually consented to commemorate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China with significant and appropriate events.

Mr Dar also extended his congratulations to the Chinese minister on the successful conclusion of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
