Pakistan and China have pledged to strengthen their military ties, focusing on enhancing Air Force-to-Air Force cooperation through complex tactical aerial exercises.

During a meeting held in China, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chinese Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun expressed their commitment to revitalizing the strategic alliance between the two nations. This collaboration aims to equip both countries” air and ground crews with the skills needed to tackle modern warfare challenges effectively.

October 15, 2023 – The meeting also resulted in an agreement to establish a Joint Working Group with the Commander of the People”s Liberation Army Air Force, General Chang Dingqiu, to further boost collaboration. The Air Chief also engaged with Director General of the Bureau of Military Equipment and Technical Cooperation, Major General Cao Xiaojian, discussing technology transfer and the development of advanced military hardware.

In interactions with heads of the Chinese Defence Industry, Sidhu extended an invitation to Chinese companies to join Pakistan”s National Aerospace Science and Technology Park initiative.
